Farfetch collaborated with Gucci for the first campaign to launch the “Off The Grid” collection, the sustainable initiative announced by Gucci last year to promote circular fashion in the present, but above all, in the future of fashion, with a series of garments and accessories made from recycled or sustainably sourced materials, such as ECONYL, a type of regenerated nylon.
In fact, The campaign is entitled “Imagined Futures” and sees the participation of some leaders of the fashion, art and ecology industries, such as the American sustainability expert Dominique Drakeford, the British musician Kam-BU, South Korean artist Novo and Wallet Magazine editor, Elise by Olsen.
Each of them has devised an utopian vision of their future translated into true photographic works of art signed by Seana Gavin. For example, for Kam-Bu the world of the future is a completely green “modern metropolis”; for Novo, the future is living in a large “harmonious village”, with many open spaces, while for Dominique Drakeford it would be nice to live in the heart of the jungle where waste is transformed into new objects.
The collection is now available on Farfetch.com.
