Once Karl Lagerfeld said: “If you ask me what I’d most like to have invented in fashion, I’d say the white shirt. For me, the white shirt is the basis of everything. everything else comes after.”
This is how the Karl Lagerfeld brand presents a collection of white shirts in honor of its founder at Pitti Uomo 97.
“A Tribute to Karl: The White Shirt Project” rather than a stand, is a real exhibition curated by Carine Roitfeld, fashion editor and style consultant of Karl Lagerfeld’s brand.
Thus, the iconic silhouette of Lagerfeld’s white shirt takes on various personalities in his own image and likeness of the artists, actors, models, designers and friends who collaborated on this capsule.
Among the most important names we find Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Lewis Hamilton and Tommy Hilfiger.
All proceeds from the sale of T-shirts are already donated to “Sauver la Vie” a medical initiative sponsored by the University Descartes of Paris.
