The inspiration of VAVA Eyewear comes from a post-industrial society and the growing conviction of belonging to the post-human era. His glasses have ties to Detroit, once a symbol of industrial prosperity now dramatically collapsed, the city had to reinvent itself to ensure its survival, but also with Berlin and with the Techno movement, born in the 80s when technology was supposed to save the city of the future. In a context of accelerated culture, turbo capitalism, media overload, the digital revolution, ecstasy consumption, VAVA’s mission is to represent the control that humanity has (had?) Technology and about herself, embodying deceleration, purism and metaphysical experience. The collection is handmade in a small family-owned Italian company, avoiding mass production, if you want to learn more and look for a store you can go on the official website.
