It seems that Jordan Brand plans to pay tribute, once again, to the character of Will Smith in the series “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”.
In fact, photos of a new color of the Jordan 5 Retro ‘Bel-Air’ have appeared, which should be released this summer.
It is not the first time that we see Will Smith associated with a pair of Jordan, in the series he used to wear them, so Nike in both 2013 and 2019, for Will’s birthday, released two versions inspired by the Prince of Bel Air:
A Jordan 5 Retro, similar to the one that is about to be released, and a reinterpretation of the Jordan 5 “Grape”.
Now it’s the turn of the Jordan 5 Retro ‘Alternate Bel-Air’, this new version features a white upper enriched with 90’s style details with very bright colors.
The mid-sole is in purple color while the sole itself is a mix between “icy-sole” and “volt yellow”.
The Jumpman on the tongue changes color according to the shoe, as well as the characteristic detail of the Jordan 5, the flame pattern on the outside which, remember, takes inspiration from the military airplane “Super Marine Spitfire MKVIII”
The shoe assumes an asymmetrical but at the same time harmonious look, reflecting in all respects the aesthetics and spirit of the 90’s.
The release seems to be set for August 29, 2020, on the official Nike website and at specialized retailers, at a price of about 190 euros.
