Banksy is back on instagram with a work against racism, accompanied by a message of support for the anti-racist movement Black Lives Matter.
“At first I thought I should just shut up and listen to black people about this issue. But why would I do that? It’s not their problem.”
While protests demanding justice are continuing all over the world, artists are also not just watching, and have their say; among these, the street artist Banksy pays tribute to George Floyd through his only social channel, with the publication of three images.

The first one shows a detail of the work: a framed photograph of a face wrapped in black and a lit candle.
In the second, the work is revealed in its entirety by showing the commemorative candle that burns the American flag, a symbol of the riots that are “setting fire” to the State.
In the third screen, Banksy explains his motivations:
“This faulty system is making their life a misery, but it’s not their job to fix it. This is a white problem.”
