We like to mention the brand Zamp by Zampolini, by Marta Zampolini, joined Wait Order in its second season, a big bet for us, and after only a year she was officially invited to show at New York Fashion Week, we would like to quote Contains Only that in this last year we accompanied seeing the growth of a brand that today for quality, price and innovation (considering we’re talking about a brand all made in Italy) is becoming a big player in the market with over 100 active sale points . We like to talk about NUMB, which in a few months, from the idea of a pant with lace became one of the most interesting men’s Italian brands in urban / contemporary sector, and it is going to introduce a amazing collection.
Among many successes, there are very some brands entered from a few weeks on which we feed high expectations. Thistle is just one of these brands. Designed and created in each step by Diego Guidi, original designer and our brilliant mind, Thistle is a completely innovative accessory: the first papillon to the aluminum world. The product is treated in a manic manner, passing from the packaging, the image is evolving and today also towards a line of bags in order to make the brand always more complete and successful.

Hello Diego, tell us your story and how did the idea to create bowtie so unique.
Hello Marco, I was born as a product designer, I choose fashion as the direction of my creative process evolving.
How has your background influenced this project?
I try to catch myself completely from the world of design, to reinterpret it in fashion accessories. I want to create unique objects, things that on the market there are not unlike other designers try to approach fashion in an alternative way, that of design, my inspiration from the beginning.
Why the choice of aluminum? There will be an evolution on other unconventional materials?
My first love is aluminum, ductile yet durable, sleek and lightweight. A material conductor of heat that it becomes the soul of a collection of accessories for men / women with a strong personality. Every season tells a story, a connection, a captured detail and reinterpreted.
What was the reaction of the public, either as a final consumer or as shops, in front of an object so unique?
Carrying out various fairs we had a good response and a great feedback, mainly due to the uniqueness of the products, as something secondary but of great importance to me is the quality that customers have found, the efficiency of our company. Who buys online in our e-commerce understand the efficiency and professionalism behind it, from the production of components made in Italy in the Marche until the final stage of the shipping packaging, we take care of every detail.
I saw that the project does not stop there, and is evolving towards a project of bags and backpacks.
Yes, for the next few seasons, as well as update existing products we have developed two models of bags, the Shopper and a briefcase.
Tell us here how does the latter idea, and how ‘fil rouge’ is all tied together.
Daily needs are answered in two briefcases neatly designed and functional soul. A folder and a shopper designed specifically to meet the daily needs without forgetting the aesthetic balance of the volume and detail. Leather and metal come together in a wise in the capable hands of a craftsman of the leather.
The materials used are of the highest quality, leather and leather combined with aluminum accessories give life to two bags useful and aesthetically pleasing.
The leather bags acquires body and color, the reproduced plots give the folder and shopper aesthetic impact. Warm colors are firmly tasseled with details in calfskin.
Stem roots are never forgotten and here comes a metal handle with a characteristic industrial origin marking the shopper and makes it unique and recognizable.
As regards the folder we have the possibility of making it multi-purpose, bringing it quietly with a shoulder strap and at the same time there is the possibility to vary its efficiency with a backpack function, which can be much more convenient for cycling or easily overcome heavy loads for our physical balance.
The great thing about these bags is that a craftsman (I call it a Artistano) only realizes every single bag, the sews entirely by hand one by one and I think that today is a great thing. A person can aquire a manual skill of the kind only after many decades of hard work with these materials; They are our heritage and we must ensure that they are shown at their best.
I know you’ve just attended the Pitti accompanying Fefè, Glamour Pochette, a Neapolitan brand. How did it go?
We just attended the Pitti with Fefè Glamour, Napoletana and successful company. We met at the Fuorisalone and we decided to work them together creating a development of Thistle Bowtie. Combining aluminum customized to fabrics that distinguish Fefè products. With this large beautiful brand we will reach stores around the world, trying to enhance the Thistle brand and the Made in Italy to the maximum.
The products have enjoyed a lot and is a source of pride, it stimulates the hard work done in recent years, without aid and entering a world unknown to me, so complicating the matter further.
What can we expect from you? A further evolution in the field of the accessories? Or even an encroachment in clothing real?

Let’s say that work every day to create innovative things that the market there are not, even groped by a detail to get out of the fashion structured schemes. We are already doing for the next seasons trends in accessories, also initiating new partnerships that update our Italian brand. All top secret for now though !!
