It is the exaggeration that dominates in the new Facetasm Spring / Summer 2022 collection which takes the name of “A Sight With A Kiss ”.
For those who still do not know it, it is one of the most interesting Japanese brands of the moment. Founded in 2007, it immediately succeeded in creating its own dimension in the fashion field. A fashion made of overlapping fabrics, mix of materials and different atmospheres.
With this collection SS22 we are faced with a wide range of unisex outfits where the predominant aspects are the layering of the garments and the deformed silhouettes. We focus on an unfinished aesthetic by ’embellishing’ everything with cut edges and rough finishes. Denim jackets, sports trousers, asymmetrical sweatshirts, ruffles on the hems, oversized garments, red organza scattered here and there. Tartan patterned jackets with hood and headgear that we could define surreal. A color palette ranging from light shades of blue, green, cream to black and red.
The Facetasm brand wanted to amaze with a collection that refers to traditional tailoring, but also to casual sport and workwear. All made unique by the evident playful touch.
This is where streetwear aesthetics meets dystopia, this is where the fabric begins to take new paths. In this case we could say that ‘exaggeration‘ is a melody that sounds harmonious throughout the collection.
