Welcome to the Converse Mountain Club. You do not need passwords to enter, but only that you wear at least one of the three models designed by the American fashion house for the winter. In reality, the triptych is not new, indeed. It consists of the most iconic pieces of the brand’s history: Chuck Taylor All Star, One Star and Fastbreak. To distinguish them from the classic ones are factors such as strength and aesthetics indicated not only for the city but also for the wilder, less chic, like the mountains.
For both women and men, the key features of the product are: the GORE-TEX® lining and the upper with DWR coating; then follows the bellows tongue which is said to be able to offer maximum comfort; finally, a double-lacing system has been designed that allows a lockdown effect and allows the wearer to treat the shoe as if it were a slip.
The past as inspiration. It is the Fastbreak model, inspired by the extreme Cold Weather Boot, a rubber military boot developed for the first time in the Fifties and produced by Converse itself. In the MC18 version it translates into a sneaker boot to which an ankle strap is added.
In an increasingly digitalized, cyber-oriented world, the American colossus born in 1908, capable of invoicing in 2015 two billion US dollars, back in time, to its analogical heritage composed of functionality and attention to detail.
