Stone Island, since the time of Massimo Osti, creator of the brand, has always stood out for innovative and avantgarde treatments.
Many innovations in the fashion and textile field derive from their research laboratory, such as heat-reactive fabric, which changes color based on temperature.
For the S / S 20 the brand offers us a capsule collection, consisting of parkas and jackets that present the DUST COLOR treatment.
The garments in question, being part of a summer collection, are very light thanks to a light 3-layer performance fabric.
It is in fact composed of an external layer in opaque nylon laminated on a breathable membrane, protected by a polyester layer.
But the important part is not this, much less the heat-sealed seams, the real gem of this capsule is the DUST treatment that covers all the garments.
The latter consists in depositing a patina of colored pigments on the finished garment, to give it a three-dimensional effect and a unique and unrepeatable appearance.
In fact, you will notice that each garment is different from the other, in that the treatment is applied randomly, as often happens for some capsules.
