Y/PROJECT, MENSWEAR GUEST DESIGNER PITTI UOMO 95
The Belgian designer Glenn Martens, creative director of Y/PROJECT, Paris-based fashion brand, will present the new Y/PROJECT 2019/2020 men’s collection in Florence, with a special event at Pitti Uomo. Winner of the prestigious Andam Fashion Award last year, Y/PROJECT is considered one of the most original voices of the contemporary fashion scene.
ALDO MARIA CAMILLO, PITTI ITALICS SPECIAL EVENT by PITTI UOMO 95
Pitti Uomo invites Aldo Maria Camillo for the absolute debut of the brand that bears his name: ALDO MARIA CAMILLO. After a professional career full of prestigious collaborations – from Ermenegildo Zegna to Valentino, from Cerruti to Berluti – the Italian designer presents, through a special event at the Spazio Alcatraz of the Stazione Leopolda, his first collection, conceived as an ideal wardrobe of modern man .
SLAM JAM CELEBRATES URBAN CULTURE AT PITTI UOMO 95ASSIEME AT CARHARTT WIP, NIKE AND STUSSY
Art, fashion, music and sport will be at the center of the special event and multidisciplinary experience with which Slam Jam celebrates three decades of unique approach to style and urban culture. In the days of Pitti Uomo 95, Slam Jam will collaborate with some of its most established partners – Carhartt WIP, Nike and Stussy – for a series of multidisclipinari interventions within the evocative spaces of the Marino Marini Museum, which will dialogue with the museum space and the permanent collection. And again: a Museum Shop organized by Slam Jam will present exclusive items created for the event. The special opening event will be on Tuesday 8 January, and on the days of 9 and 10 January the exhibition project will be open to the public.
“ART MEETS FASHION”, HACULLA AT THE CUSTOM HUB
Haculla, a brand inspired by the work of the street artist Harif Guzman and conceived by creative director Jon Koon, will be the protagonist of a project-event capable of combining art and fashion in the Customs spaces. An artistic installation dedicated to the continuous evolution of New York street art and the experimentation of innovative materials. And then the fashion show of the FW 2019 collection in which Koon reflects on the evolution of Guzman as an artist.
LEVI’S® ENGINEERED JEANS ™: THE RETURN OF THE ’90s WITH A TOUCH OF MODERNITY
A special event that will pay tribute to the legendary Levi’s® Engineered Jeans ™. The innovation, which is based on style-conscious design elements, has paved the way for this iconic garment that returns with a contemporary twist suitable for the modern wardrobe.
CONCEPT KOREA PRESENTS THE BEYOND CLOSET SHOW
Thanks to a new collaboration with KOCCA – Korea Creative Content Agency, the Pitti Immagine Discovery Foundation returns to the spotlight on the most interesting brands from South Korea – for several seasons one of the most dynamic realities of fashion research – with the Concept Korea project. At this edition, on January 9th at the Dogana, the Beyond Closet collection goes on the catwalk.
