Converse and Don C will have thought of this when they decided to create another Converse ERX by Don C capsule, able to reinterpret the iconic ERX sneaker model. Starting from January 12th, in the mono and multi-brand stores, as well as on the American company’s online website, five interpretations of the sports shoe are available, created with a contemporary aesthetic starting from the structure.

The charm of the sub-cultures, mixed together in a colorful combination of ideal sounds, flavors and movements, is the pivot from which the project moves. But there is more, an emotional value. It seems that Don C, founder of the streetwear brand Just Don in 2011, has decided to devote all the attention to ERX for his personal memories of the silhouette of sneaker and love for sport.

Kanye West’s friend has created with Converse a collection that is defined for two concepts to be interpreted together: metal and animal. The first «offers three distinct ERX 260 in contrasting color palettes, along with four pieces of clothing and accessories in the same shades, inspired by the era of glam metal. The mania, which developed at the convergence of the ’80s of punk rock and pop genre, transformed the styles of the subculture into a new trend that helped define the era itself. Each ERX has a series of studs of different sizes and distinct inflections that further elevate the silhouette through the lens of modern streetwear. Made of two classic leather colors (black and white), the silhouettes have wild animal prints, a characteristic feature of Don C. The motifs and textures have been proposed in continuity with four pieces of apparel and a set of accessories, accompanied by hints of color that recall his first ERX drop with Converse. Each sneaker is also supplied with two sets of laces, which embellish the print on the heel lining.»
