A sneaker that combines the past and the future of running.
After acclaiming it at the sacai FW 20 show at Paris Fashion Week in January, nine long months of waiting passed before Nike announced the official release.
The sacai x Nike collaboration is a tribute to the history of the Swoosh that blends with the hugely popular LDVWaffle by sacai. Born from the union of the Vaporfly and 1983 Pegasus models, the Nike x sacai VaporWaffle combines a comfortable and stable upper with a classic waffle pattern sole, creating a pleasant fit with the avant-garde look that distinguishes the design of sacai.
Presented in two colorways, white/red/blue and black/white, the upper is made up of numerous overlapping layers in mesh, suede and leather, and features a double Swoosh: the first stitched, and the other printed.
The focal point of the sneaker is the sole that provides the prefect mash-up of the two Nike running silhouettes, creating a double-layer sole with a chunky look.
The release of the sacai x Nike VapowWaffle is scheduled for November 6 on Nike SNKRS at the price of around €180.
