Dior presents the new menswear Resort 2021 collection
After joining the “Fendi” family, Kim Jones continues his work at the Dior maison for the men’s line, launching a Resort 2021 collection inspired by the founder of the maison monsieur Christian Dior and his childhood spent in Les Rhumbs.
In the particularly difficult historical moment in which we are living, Jones communicates a sense of belonging to the roots, a strong feeling for many people due to the pandemic.
It gives us a sense of security, including elements of the Dior classicism in the collection, of which haute couture is at the forefront, using neutral and calm tones mixed with the Dior oblique motif, which is not only representative of the accessories, but also spread on shirts, trousers and caps.
The items are more casual including quilted jackets and basketball shorts alternating with classic men’s suits with a modern interpretation given by accessories.
Launched new accessories in perforated leather with reflective linings to capture the light, hence the new name Dior Oblique Galaxy.
Footwear ranges from classic moccasins paired with monogam socks, to trekker-inspired moccasins loaded with that inimitable Oblique motif and coveted sneakers.
