United Nude and its creative director, the renowned Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, have always been at the forefront of creating innovative footwear. These Highrise Shoe, created for the ZONAL exhibition at Wanted Design NYC, have been made of polyamide, durable material often used in technical, conceived as a real miniature buildings. Often Koolhaas has designed shoes using similar forms to architecture, but never as in this case the reference is explicit and verifiable in the details, such as plans that divide the shoe and the pillars that seem to support the structure. The Highrise is a wonderful example of how to merge architecture, design and fashion only by varying the scale of an object, since it is not difficult to imagine how great these shoes futuristic high-tech buildings.
