Among the SS21 collections that stood out on Instagram, just yesterday was the collaboration between Patta, the Amsterdam-based Dutch brand, and Tommy Hilfiger the U.S giant.
Patta immediately revealed the focal point of the new collection, Pan-Africanism. An ideal movement born as a manifestation of solidarity between people of African origin.
The items have not yet been unveiled but the brand has set a date for April 5 on pattaxtommy.com looking to draw attention to Katibo Ye Ye, a 2003 documentary about Suriname-born Clarence Breeveld, who traces the shipping route from Ghana to Suriname.
The two brands have already announced that part of the proceeds will be donated to three organizations that support African communities.
Stay tuned for news soon.
