The first collaboration between Patta and Tommy Hilfiger celebrates the 100th anniversary of Pan-Africanism, the flag and symbol of Black Unity and freedom.
As we announced last week, on pattaxtommy you can finally watch the 1-hour documentary Katibo Ye Ye that will be there for a limited time.
It tells the story of Clarence Breeveld‘s expedition from Ghana to Suriname, his home country.
Scrolling down instead you can already find all the garments of the new collaboration unisex and also for children.
As immediately noticed from the image that Patta had posted on his Instagram profile, the predominant colors of this collaboration are red, black and green, the colors of Pan-Africanism.
The red represents the noble blood that unites all people of African descent, the color black the black people, the green the rich land of Africa.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to charity to some organizations that constantly support the African diaspora, they are: The Black Archives of Amsterdam, Sista Space of London and The Good Neighborhood Collective of Milan.
The Patta x Tommy collaboration will be launched on Friday, April 9 at 13:00 on the pattaxtommy website.
