Historic Japanese fashion house Onitsuka Tiger, led by the creative direction of Andrea Pompilio, made its debut at Digital Milano Fashion Week with the Fall Winter 2021 2022 collection.
For the presentation, the brand has created “Unfashionshow”, a short video directed by Giulia Anchenza, which features different artists: the rapper Myss Keta, the dancer Gabriele Esposito and the visual artist Ozmo.
The collection stands out more than ever on the aesthetics of Onitsuka Tiger, that is born from the fusion of brand’s sporting heritage with the Japanese minimal elegance. Inspiration comes from observing the design of sportswear garments worn to explore nature in the 70s, and the majestic Himalayan mountain range.
Backpacks, trekking shoes, fur inserts, acetate track pants and fleece in saturated and acidulous colors are mixed with neutral, soft colors, pinstripe fabrics, transparencies and prints worked with inlays in nylon radzimir and piping.
