Off-white sued the Afters Ice Cream ice cream parlors for using some of their hallmarks in the merchandising!
The brand of Virgil Abloh has recently started a lawsuit against the famous American candy store Afters Ice Cream.
The latter uses a very effective marketing on social, which includes the releases of some clothing…
So among the photos of huge and colorful ice cream cones, stand out t-shirts and black hoodies with the words “Off-Diet” and “Anti Diet Diet Club“.
In addition, therefore, to having “distorted” the name of the brand, they used some distinctive features such as horizontal lines.

The accusation of Off-white to the founders of Afters Ice Cream, Scott Nghiem and Andy Nguyen, is to have exploited the popularity of the fashion brand for advertising purposes, creating the illusion in consumers of some kind of link between the two brands.
Off-white, however, foreseeing the hypothesis that such a thing could sooner or later happen, had already protected himself by depositing name, logo and distinctive features.
In any case, as can be deduced from the IG page of Afters Ice Cream, Off-white is not the only brand that is “inspired” by merchandising, including Anti Social Social Club, Sunday Service and Supreme.
The Fashion Law has speculated that Afters Ice Cream could defend itself by saying that it has parodied the streetwear brand… we’ll see!
