Uniqlo U is the diffusion line of Uniqlo – a Japanese brand founded 70 years ago – that offers classy items accessible to everyone. Its SS19 collection, led by artistic director Christophe Lemaire, offers an uncompromising selection of styles and colors in a series of squared and “simplified” measures.
Inspired by the natural tones of the earth, the colors of the collection range from rich saturated browns to pinks and oranges, to finish with blue and faded grey. The line offers essential squared t-shirts, in soft fabrics, and available in different colors, while linen makes its first appearance in a Uniqlo U line, used for the production of straight shirts.
The linear design language is embodied in a range of jackets, giving to the collection a typically sophisticated and modern aesthetic. Between seersucker, unlined blazers, denim jackets and single-breasted windbreakers, the collection offers form and functionality.
Employing innovative materials, pursuing new standards in craftsmanship and exploring new and unique shapes, Uniqlo U aims to reinvent the foundations for a simple but sophisticated wardrobe.
The Uniqlo U Spring/Summer 2019 collection can be found online and in selected Uniqlo stores.
