As part of his “Genius” program, Moncler has collaborated with various designers to push forward his mandate and to revitalize his most classic pieces. Immersing itself completely in innovation and experimentation, the Italian label is constantly thinking of new ways to offer collections that push their consumers to the limit.
The collection, nicknamed Moncler 2 1952, refers to the imprint of its origins established in a small village in the Haute-Savoie mountains (in 1952, of course) and injects a jovial youth into its garments through a series of vibrant colors and captivating silhouettes.
Moncler takes back its inspirational heritage, the world of luxury ski resorts and the theme as a whole is therefore a faithful interpretation of the Alpine roots of the label, reproduced in the form of coats, sweaters, scarves and padded patches, which pay homage to the famous ski resorts such as Sankt Moritz, Aspen, Gstaad, Zermatt and Megève. In addition, details like comics applications appear that serve as a subtle hint to the culture of the 1980s.
The classic duvet, now a Moncler icon, has been revisited in materials such as laqué and opaque nylon, all with concentrated colors like bright orange, blue, red, purple and green.
The Moncler 2 1952 collection will be launched on 6 September on the Moncler website, as well as at selected boutiques and retailers worldwide. You can take a look at some of the most salient pieces of the range in the gallery above.
