Max Mara‘s The Cube is 10 years old and the Italian brand takes the opportunity to celebrate in style, creating a renamed collection called “La superleggera”, a “featherweight” duvet and inviting three photographers to interpret the main sensitivity of the product.
Centered around the extra-light quilt, the pieces weighing just 300 grams each, are modular and padded with Siberian goose feathers to ensure maximum warmth and comfort. In keeping with a modern lifestyle, the jackets are reversible, customizable and can also be worn without sleeves if necessary. Packed in small practical cubic bags, the outerwear can be carried anywhere. Waterproof, windproof and with incredible thermal properties, down jackets take a step forward in wearable technology.

Hellen van Meene x Max Mara
The Dutch photographer Hellen van Meene, is inspired by the eternity of Rembrandt’s paintings and her photographs use dramatic lighting in contrast to grandiose poses creating a strong emotional impact.

Max Farago x Max Mara
Max Farago, who is a longtime collaborator of Max Mara, has photographed his wife Clara Cullen wrapped in iconic jackets showing simple and static poses in contrast with a minimal background that highlights the product exponentially.

Rinko Kawaushi x Max Mara
Finally, Rinko Kawaushi gave a very personal insight into the collection using lo-fi images of a friend of hers immersed in Japanese nature, where in a cold winter day, light and heat are reflected on the quilt that surrounds it and warms it up with immaculate candor.
This special edition is available in a limited number of 300 pieces, as well as weighing grams.
In addition, some of the pieces from the “The Cube” collection have been shown as cult objects at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Staatliche Museum in Berlin.
