The Marni FW 2020 show “brings on stage” a reflection on the Time.
Francesco Risso presents the Marni FW 2020/2021 in an unusual and absolutely original way and thanks to the collaboration with the Italian choreographer Michelle Rizzo creates a choreographic show, not only with great visual impact but also with deep social meaning.
Marni “brings to the scene” with the FW 2020/2021 the flow of time, time that conditions and profoundly defines today’s society. The models appear from the dark dancing as in a slow-time trance, unexpectedly they begin to move at an accelerated pace; This is how perfectly imperfect looks from the bold colours and contrasting shapes are lost in a hubbub of movements and people and then disappear.
Tailoring trousers, shearling coats, blazers and tank tops that to a distracted eye can look normal, have eccentric colours and patterns, are asymmetric and gnawed, to cite Risso: “Everything is too narrow or too wide”.
Marni with the FW 2020/2021 reminds us that the speed of time leaves the signs of its passage and invites us to stop, to slow down to recognize and see the change.
