I know you are busy and satisfied by your work. What is it that motivates you to tackle a project like that so seriously that you are creating, especially in a time so difficult for the sector?
One can not but consider the huge amount of work that the project requires, but it is the passion that makes us stay awake until late at night, that makes us feel enthusiasm and excitement in the act of creative discovery. One day someone said on emotions “are movements that make the soul alive,” M-STASH does, makes us alive. If in the future M-STASH will be something more than just the trust and confidence that the market will attribute to give us an answer. You wonder if this is a game? Judge you !
Living and doing different jobs how do you coordinate the project and in what manner the slope of each can enrich the brand?
Not always a potential weakness is an obstacle, indeed, if used in the right way, it can turn into a real strong point. We have created this business model basing activity on the almost exclusive use of multimedia. The fact that the company “virtual” is composed of three members who live in Trieste, Italy, the Netherlands and Hong Kong, we can first of all to take advantage of time zones to our advantage, so that the brain of M- STASH is always awake, secundis to have continuous feedback on new trends or new inspiration which may arise precisely from experiences around the world. Each of us has a background in both professional and different life and it can only benefit the success of the project, everyone has their own skills and they all swear by the work of others. We firmly believe in the importance of interdisciplinarity, so that M-STASH has often given the opportunity to other young people to make a contribution, organizing events, running commercials on the net finished and painted a series of our t-shirts, doing photo shoots , and so on.
Italy, the Netherlands, Hong Kong. What are the creative ideas that come from these countries? What is the coolest thing and the worst thing? And what does each country have resulted in M-STASH?
Certainly around the world the style is not so tied to the big names and famous brands as it can be in Italy. In the Netherlands there are many stores that offer unique and customized that are closest to the concept of design of clothing, while Hong Kong, is a showcase of eclectic styles resulting from any part of the world, and its proximity to Japan adds that touch inventiveness of the stuff you can find in stores. All this led us to give importance not only to the finished product, but also the concept and everything that revolves around it, from packaging to labeling, the graphics mode of expression.
Looking at the pictures of shooting I saw a guy who has tattooed on the chest a giant logo of M-STASH. He must ba a fool or someone who believes deeply the project to feel it under his skin. Who is him?
Going back to what we said before, M-STASH also means freedom of expression, and gesture nor was an example. Expresses the concept of “just wear a m’stash”, a play on words that leaves room for interpretation, as our clothes do. Translated into Italian in fact may be reported as “bringing the mustache” or “wear-M STASH”, but not only. Surely the person is a big fan of the brand, but so much for the avoidance of doubt, the tattoo is real, the person in question is not one of the partners and is in perfect mental health.
M-STASH is just a brand with “mustache” or something more? Why the Double – Face?
With regard we would like to point out that M-STASH is only partly representative of the mustache, M-STASH is much more. M-STASH is a play on words that encapsulates the concept and the spirit of our brand. “Stash” in English is a diminutive of “mustache”, but Stash-pocket is literally a secret pocket, like the ones that our clothes. Everything revolves around this, is the double covering the real salient feature of the brand. Allows you to see, wear and experience things differently. M-STASH can be everything and its opposite, the inside and the outside of things, a dual identity, or rather identity double face! We do not want to impose such a style, but rather to offer alternative solutions. We have succeeded not only in t-shirts, but as you will soon discover, in a series of accessories. Want to know what? The mustache. A simple aesthetic detail or something more?
From the first moment in which human beings have found themselves in front of the crossroads “letting a mustache or cut,” history teaches us that the way in which they have grown worn and helped define who they were. Individuals, groups, societies, cultures, social movements have used the mustache to show their intentions, not to be ignored, exposing themselves in a public and going, sometimes against aesthetic well-defined period. The mustache can be a window into the soul, a way to express their identity.
Your favorite famous mustaches?
If we have to name someone, then we include Freddy Mercury, Salvador Dali, Charlie Chaplin, Friedrich Nietzsche, not so much for aesthetic reasons as well, but for what they were and still are.
How do you expect to evolve the project M-STASH?
We plan to develop the project in many ways, the first is to increase the product portfolio, but not before having consolidated our brand recognition in the market. We respect the aesthetic tastes of all we are aware that when you make specific choices, they can not enjoy and be appreciated by everyone, but the important thing is to communicate who we are, our concept and vision of M-STASH, so to make our product a recognizable around the streets or exposed in some window. We will try to expand geographically and be available to retails through a distribution network throughout the country, but we also believe much of the potential of online, and we will try to improve day after day in the, now a section of our website provides and the -commerce, but for now the importance of the web is to make ourselves available outside the national borders. We love the cross-over of different disciplines, and we are working on several collaborations, especially in the art world and especially with emerging artists. M-STASH is hoped to be a vehicle to create visibility to other young people who want to really get to know.
