Warm earthy tones, resistant denim, monogram logo, and a zipper. These are the key features of the newest viral Carpenter Pants by Louis Vuitton, one of the most instagrammable pieces of the Fall/Winter 2021 collections. Virgil Abloh, creative director of the Parisian Maison, broke the web with a pair of green and brown cargo jeans, embossed with the LV motif. His pants also feature antiquated finish rivets and a zipper at the end of the leg to adjust the fit. The cherry on top? The vintage fabric, loved by customers nowadays.
Sold at 1700 euros, these pants have been grabbed by hundreds of people worldwide. Many others had to simply watch them from afar. Some others, though, were more critical, and thought those were a product only suitable for “trappers”.
Louis Vuitton Men Fall/Winter 2021 collection is centered on the illusion (both optical and figurative) and on the trompe-l’oeil effect. These Carpenter Pants, sprinkled with LV logos, are no less. What are your thoughts?
