With the abroad’success, especially in Belgium, Germany, Great Britain e Finland, Lidl has decided to bring its clothing line also in Italy. From November 16th, in Italian retailers, it will be possible to buy the garments, even if in limited edition.
The Lidl clothing line is already known to mass-market goers. In fact, a few months ago, during the lockdown and in the middle of the financial crisis, the well-known discount chain had managed to upset the market, putting sneakers into circulation in its retailers that made the public go crazy.
Within a few days, the shoes were able to make the rounds of the web. Between memes, parodies and real appreciation, the sneakers have made people talk about them, ending up in the markets and in online auctions at incredible prices. From $12.99, the price skyrocketed, reaching the top of the seven hundred.
Alessia Bonifazi, Communication manager of Lidl, has declared:
“The Lidl fashion collection made up of t-shirts, shoes, slippers and socks that reflect our logo is a nice way to pay tribute to our customers who have always defined themselves as real ‘Lidl fans’. The design was developed internally by Lidl, playing with the colors of our brand. The great success that our ‘Lidl Fan Collection’ has had in the countries where it has been on sale was unexpected and surprising, a sign of how Lidl is truly an innovative brand in step with the times “
