Lemaire is the personal project created in 1991 by the French designer Christophe Lemaire, who, in the meantime, worked with leading brands such as Lacoste and Hermès.
The designer, supported by his collaborator Sarah-Linh Tran, reinterprets the classics of men’s clothing in a modern way, offering thin cuts and materials of the highest quality. Trousers, shirts and outerwear are made with tailoring meticulousness, combining an elegant and refined style with everyday comfort.
Each collection is designed and produced in the historic Marais district of Paris, located a few steps away from the flagship boutique of Lemaire in 28 rue de Poitou.
The brand is based on an idea of wardrobe that aims to create simple, versatile and at the same time fashionable pieces and its latest fall/winter 2022 collection is exemplifies it very clearly.
Conceived keeping in mind the idea of travel, the collection perfectly represents the soul of the brand. As stated by the journalist Tina Isaac-Goizé, in fact, “Discreet luxury is Lemaire’s home turf” so the items proposed are versatile and elegant. On the catwalk were presented women’s, men’s and unisex looks, trench coats that can be worn as overcoats or vests, denim jackets and a marbled red blouse made in collaboration with the artist Frédérique Pelletier.
Each garment has been designed to be interchangeable and it is natural to imagine seeing it worn not only on the streets of Paris but around the world. “Dressing up is a little bit like traveling” said Lemaire. “You get dressed up, you go to someone, or you have a destination in mind”. And the collection has been designed exactly as such, to be suitable for any occasion and make anyone who wears it ready for a new adventure.
