“The beginning is the most important part of the job”. So wrote Plato. And it is from here that begins the new phase of Callens, brand founded by Claire-Anne Stroll under the motto: “performance meets elegance”. The collection for next summer, presented inside the eponymous showroom of the brand in the fashion district of Milan in September, adds to this leitmotif some “glamour.”
A new team of designers, who have collaborated in important fashion houses, has thought of a woman so dynamic and committed, but also to the one who does not mind that extra touch to make it suitable to any situation: from the gym to work, from a dinner to an important evening.
In addition to the creatives, to emphasize the clothes are the Italian productions and first quality fabrics, which are also from Italy: cashmere, silk velvet, duchesse silk and sequins. These, in particular, are those used for the clothe icon of the brand and, incidentally, also the model currently in vogue in the magazines: the jumpsuit. The creative direction of Callens then, wanted to emphasize outerwear, like kimonos and bomber with an oversized silhouette, clothing no longer so unusual on summer catwalks since today the most active market in terms of buyers is the Middle East .
A sensory collection. If the touch is soft and sensual, the view is a dichotomy between pure lines and embroidery sewn by hand. But also the taste, smell and hearing interact bringing Callens woman in an ideal Western metropolis where really different ethnic groups are no longer such, where the individual’s uniqueness is a value and not a destabilizing factor. A locus amoenus that Calles, with its second life, is inviting to build.
