Dolce & Gabbana has paraded in the frescoed rooms of Palazzo Labus with the collections Haute Couture Women, Haute Couture Men and Haute Jewelery.
La Bella Vita is the theme that inspired the collections!
The Italian holidays of the jet set of the years ’50 and ’60, when characters like Jackie Kennedy, Aristotele Onassis, Brigitte Bardot, Sofia Loren and Gianni Agnelli spent the holidays in the most chic places of our peninsula.
Capri, Amalfi, Portofino, Lake Como are just some of the wonderful holiday resorts that have inspired the duo of wonders… which have not, however, forgotten the mother land: Sicily.
Alta Moda
Among the frescoes of Palazzo Labus, the headquarters of their Haute Couture, the models of Dolce & Gabbana are a dream vision, surrounded by wonderful printed silks.
Of the divas of the ’60s they parade casually in dresses with a soft silhouette, which accompanies the female body with kindness, emphasizing their majesty.
Among the most striking and striking garments there are definitely printed scarf dresses.
The prints reproduce the Capri’s ceramics, the flowers of the gardens of Portofino, the frescoes of the ancient Renaissance houses and the decorations of the Sicilian carts.
The “Bella vita” in all its playfulness is found in polka dot and striped prints of chiffon dresses.
Kimoni and caftani with animal prints are embellished with colorful feathers!
To complete the 47 looks for women, there are accessories…huge straw hats, scarves with colorful prints and High Jewelery!
The scarves cover the wide-brimmed hats or are knotted like a turban.
Fruits and flowers in white and yellow gold are dotted with rubies, diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and tourmalines.
The shoes are mostly sandals and loafers, in perfect Positano style!
Alta Sartoria
A chic, casual man.
Just like the movie stars, the models of Dolce & Gabbana parade proud.
This collection of ‘Haute Couture‘ does not just want to portray the Bel Paese of the ’50s/ ’60s, it wants to REPAINT it.
It is the summer of a man who loves to dress elegantly, but who wants, indeed MUST be noticed.
The silhouettes, just like the woman, remain very soft and the culture of the most beautiful places in Italy is poured into embroidery and hand-painted prints.
As for this complete pyjamas with nautical prints, completed by a scarf in pendant with fringes.
Dandy dressing gowns with gold prints and details recall the typical baroque style of Dolce & Gabbana.
Wide shirts with ’50s collar and Capri trousers alternate with linen tunics that pay homage to Venice.
The shirts with scarf collar, on the other hand, are inspired by the floors of the ’60s and are combined with simple bermuda shorts and leather loafers.
The most extravagant garments are definitely the long caftans entirely embroidered in sequins with astronomical images, representing the sky of the sea resorts.
High jewellery and watch accessories enrich the look!
