Choosing a new frame, usually one of the elements to consider is the material of the same. But if we exclude “emerging” material in this field, such as wood, the options are scarce and the choice often falls on metal or acetate. Kris Van Assche goes further, combining these two materials in a pair of glasses with metal skeleton covered with dark semi-transparent acetate. The shape conjures up the collection round last year but personally, when I see similar frames, I can think only one great master, the architect Le Corbusier.
