Kim Jones follows the recent collaboration with Nike Air Max 95 and announces a capsule collection in partnership with Converse.
The exclusive duo will soon release two new Chuck Taylor 70 that harmonize the DNA of the Converse brand, in terms of silhouettes and textures, and Kim Jones’s futuristic approach in design that aesthetically encloses the model ‘protecting’ it in a cage made of translucent rubber. The silhouette comes with a black or sand “Natural Ivory” iteration and a transparent TPU membrane with eyelets for the laces. On the heel, there is a rubber reinforcement, while the midsole is defined by a black border that defines the wave. The co-branding with Kim Jones is highlighted by the brand on the tongue, while the All Star rounds are traditionally arranged on the central panel.
To enrich the footwear capsule there is also a lookbook signed by Juergen Teller to present the apparel collection that blends American streetwear and sportswear to create a modern version of the ‘Take Ivy” atmosphere. There are four unisex items: t-shirts, jackets, crewnecks and cargo pants with press buttons.
The entire collection will be available on the Converse website on April 8th. Prices will range from $55 USD to $317 USD.
