Sacai presents the new Fall Winter 2021 collection, with an extra touch of color given by the collaboration with Kaws.
The new Sacai collection in collaboration with Kaws includes oversized silhouettes and deconstructed shapes, thus recreating a well-studied visual imbalance. In this deconstructivist spirit, typical of Chitose Abe‘s designer, each piece finds the freedom to explore punk and hip hop, offering them in a more elegant and refined version. Two apparently opposite worlds, two different street cultures, which however seem to come together at the same time in the world of Kaws. The addition, in fact, of unpublished artwork, the explosion of bright colors and the iconic X symbol not only offer a collection, but create “wearable art”.
Complex knitwear elements, eccentric pleated skirts and eye-catching puffer jackets blend with accessories such as three-dimensional bags or maxi bum bags. But in all this to stand out is also a particular version of the already seen Sacai x Nike Blazer Low. Unlike the models previously seen, this iteration of the silhouette features the unmistakable KAWS X signature, embossed on the back of the lateral sole. As can be seen from the official profile of the Japanese brand, the collection will be launched in July.
