With a line-up of 150 pieces, for both men and women, the Missoni x Palm Angels project is a real shared collection rather than a collaboration capsule. Under the direction of Angela Missoni and Francesco Ragazzi we are sure about to see some good stuff!
What you may not know about this apparently mismatched collaboration is that between the designers of the two fashion houses there is a bond of knowledge and blood that has roots in the family, rather than in work. Francesco is in fact the acquired grandson of the Milanese designer and for some time they have both been thinking about a design chapter together, they were just waiting for the other to take the first step, both confirm.
The collection will be distributed worldwide starting June 30, from the online shop to physical stores, including a wide selection of multi-brand stores, in short, that can be purchased anywhere.
It is starting from a cup of coffee and a sprinkling of the historical archives of Missoni that the collaboration takes shape. Strong references to the 70s/80s inspired by suburban New York, a mix between the heritage of the fashion house all stripes and knitwear and the unmistakable underground touch of the younger Palm Angels.
Mesh, cuffs, graphic patterns, color blocks, spray cans, oversized garments and tracksuits. All stamped and made recognizable by a brand new logo created specifically for the occasion, including the logo rigorously reworked from a first oval version from Missoni in the 1970s.
For now we only have a preview of the collection but we are super curious to discover it all!
