Just in time for the arrival of summer, Fendi and Gentle Monster have announced a collaboration that sees as protagonist a capsule of sunglasses.
Composed of two unisex styles, the new release brings together the modern aesthetic of Gentle Monster, the Korean optical brand and the luxurious opulence of the Italian fashion house, Fendi.
The first silhouette named GENTLE FENDI NO.1 combines the best of street style trends, boasting a small shape with appealing logos that embellish the frame.
In contrast, GENTLE FENDI NO.2 offers a round shape, with a more classic flavor for an easy-to-wear look that can be combined with anything.
Not just photos, but also a video accompanies and creates the right atmosphere for the launch of the capsule, combining both fashion and art – the graphics highlight “the fusion and opposition of futurism with an ancient feeling”, as described in a Press release. Along with the strange, somewhat alien geometric shapes, the imaginary environment is full of classical architecture and pastel backgrounds.
The GENTLE FENDI collection will be released on May 7th in Fendi and Gentle Monster boutiques and in selected optical stores worldwide. The launch will also coincide with the corresponding immersive in-store installations, created exclusively for collaboration. The installations will be hosted in the following stores:
