Vintage allure and innovative details. This added to a vegan ethics of the choice of materials is the fascinating world of Opposès Complèmentaires. The result of the alchemy between Paola Robiolio Bose and Nara Zafferri the brand was born in 2014 with the aim of restoring the feminine silhouette female producing all the leaders in Italy.
When did you decide to found Opposès Complémentaires?
Paola: We both have a background working in different fields from fashion, but we have always lived and breathed fashion. A couple of years ago we realized that we continued to talk about what we liked and how we would design a clothing line and we had so many ideas and suggestions that we said “let’s do it!”.
What are the values that reside in your brand and, therefore, in your collections?
Nara: Definitely care for the product, the fact to prefer a package crafted with great care for detail. Each piece comes from a careful and constant research of materials and cuts and is tried until the result is more than satisfactory.
What is style for you?
Paola: Surely, story have been given many noble definitions for the term “style”, I can only humbly say that for me the style is what defines a person, the personality, and that finding the right first step to relate to the world around them.
What is the value you give to femininity and how it is made in practical terms in your collections?
Nara: Femininity is an essential component of every woman and, consequently, for each outfit. With our clothes we propose to make the most of femininity through a contemporary style but with a taste of the past, they can make people feel comfortable with the woman wearing them, allowing her to play with different styles. Femininity has nothing to do with the show centimeters of skin, but with the know how to make the best.
How is positioned Opposès Complémentaires on the market?
Paola: Our brand is entirely made in Italy, and as we said before we particularly care about the attention to detail and the use of well-made and raw materials, but we still have a good quality/price ratio, also because much of the work, from modeling to the samples we do directly, so we can keep costs down and not become a burden on buyers. So I would say we position in a medium-high, but definitely offer a cured product for a reasonable price.
Future projects?
Nara: Continue on this road, trying as much as possible to let us know not only the public, but also to the many buyers today that are steadily looking for new brands to make their boutiques even more unique and original.
