After a season of absence, Vetemens returns to the scene in style with the largest collection ever.
The absence on the catwalk did not change the rebellious and unconventional spirit of the brand. Vetements, for his back post without censorship on his Instagram profile an “invitation to look ahead, leaving behind the past”, a few hours from the show.

Vetements, cult of fashion since 2014, has never loved the conventions, the name itself, from the French “dresses”, heralds its essentialist and strongly conceptual soul. The critical component is in fact the basis of every collection of the brand: with great sarcasm accuses all those postmodern institutions that extol ethics and respectability but that in reality are sad depictions of nothing more absolute.
Even on this occasion, the brand proves to be bold and out of line, starting from the vastness of the collection. The lookbook is in fact composed of 165 different outfits, taken in front of backdrops that initially remind flames of hell, and then gradually get to an almost heavenly background.
Huge also the volumes of garments with shoulder pads and references to football. The first looks, accompanied by flaming background include anarchist symbols replaced with a “V“, t-shirt with slogans such as “think while it is still legal“, shades that bring to mind “The Matrix“, signs of prohibition and a general theme definable “punk chic“.
The next part dampens the tones of protest, with a background that presents a tropical landscape with a rainbow. Softer the slogans of t-shirts and even more wearable without resorting to indignant looks. Obviously “soft” is done to say, styling, shapes, excessive volume also characterize this part of the lookbook.
And for a respectable tour of the Divine Comedy, the last stop is destined to paradise. In the last part of the collection the models are surrounded by a golden and heavenly light, like figures of Saints. Touches of neon color, floral dresses and shirts more “basic”.
After years of glory, in recent times some rumors declared the slow decline of the brand, but Vetements has shown to be still able to amaze and make noise, creating the hype that has always characterized it, sending, in this, to hell the past!
