Fashion is made of clothes, fashion shows, shops and events and what always unites them is the auditory experience. Today we are used to having contact with our designers or brands with our smartphone via Instagram or the social networks where they communicate us images and collections or news. To remain behind, it is precisely a musical contact in the delivery of messages and more and more fashion houses are investing in this, in particular through Spotify and podcasts (here the dedicated article).
MONCLER
Moncler shares with us a series of “Moncler shares warmth” playlists curated by the designers of the Moncler genius series. The latest release is by Matthew Williams of Alyx 9SM with a selection of songs with a timeless spirit: we start with hazy indie, then R&B up to the trap on a journey into the pop culture of today and tomorrow. The next releases will be, instead of Hiroshi Fujiwara and Craig Green. Listen to it here.
GUCCI
Gucci offers a series of songs inspired by the ‘Mémoire d’une Odeur’ perfume but also the playlist ‘Chilling with Massimo Bottura’, chef at the Gucci Osteria in Florence and Beverly Hills. Listen to it here.
BURBERRY
Colette, the now ex Parisian concept store, offers a playlist created for Burberry on its Spotify channel. The playlist includes 15 100% British songs. The eternal David Bowie and The Rolling Stones are flanked by new talents from the British music scene, such as Lilla Vargen and Flo Morrissey. There are also live pieces, recorded for Burberry Acoustic, and then the fashion shows and events organized by the brand. Listen to it here.
MSGM
Massimo Giorgetti, founder of Msgm and well-known music lover, has also followed the wave by inserting a personal playlist of numerous tracks within the brand profile that also includes selections curated by the fashion editor Katie Grant and the artist Todd Bienvenu . Listen to it here.
PHILOSOPHY
Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini comes out with a “revival” playlist that takes us back to the myths of the 80s. From Amanda Lear to Serge Gainsbourg through Madonna, Barbara Streisand and Patty Pravo. The brand is only the latest in a series of brands that chose the musical app to prolong the mood of a fashion show, a collaboration and even a fragrance as in the case of Gucci. Listen to it here.
