Etro presents a new sneaker model: the Eartbeat. He does it during the Fall-Winter 2022 men‘s show and with a campaign entrusted to the creative creation of Francesco Sourigues and David Vivirido.
The name chosen for Etro‘s brand new sports shoe combines the word earth with the word beat, evoking the natural beat of the earth. A clear reference to love for our planet and a desire for reconciliation with it.
It is amazing how the brand has managed to enclose its main distinctive traits in a sneaker. One above all is the patchwork structure that brings together different fabrics, from suede to jaquard, from smooth and printed fabric to the famous Paisley of the Maison. But it doesn’t stop there. It’s the details that make the difference. A multi-texture processing joins a multicolor one. It goes from off-white to blue, from orange to green, from black to turquoise. The neon laces, studs, fringes and stitching that give the shoe an artisanal character are in contrast with a rubber sole made with the collaboration of Vibram. And you can’t miss the Etro logo embroidery with Pegasus on the front tab.
Etro’s Earthbeat sneakers were told in a photographic and performative campaign at the same time, shot by director Mario Abadia and photographed by Jorge Perez Ortiz. The protagonists are five professional dancers who, through the instrument of dance and in a natural setting, express passion, desire for freedom, reconciliation with the landscape.
This is how the beat of the earth joins the movement of man. This is how the performance, built by fluid movements, tells the dynamism of the new Etro shoe.
