After the great success achieved by the Dr. Martens X Jean Michel Basquiat collaboration in June 2020, the English brand has decided to continue on this path with another great artist: Keith Haring. A name that should be quite familiar to you by now since we are talking about one of the founding fathers of street art, the spokesperson of an entire mass culture.
But if not, you will surely remember him for his style, for his unique and unmistakable trait. Halfway between a story of everyday life and a manifesto against all forms of oppression and convention, his lively comics have traveled the world. How can we fail to recognize those stylized men so full of life. Stavola, to be fascinated by Haring’s colorful aesthetics was the English brand, which became famous to the general public for its black ankle boots with yellow stitching, born as a symbol of punk culture and today more than ever a timeless icon.
A collaboration, that of Dr. Martens X Keith Haring, which we could almost define intergenerational. For the great occasion, the brand has re-lined two of the most famous models in its collection: the 1460 and 1461. Both proposals were made in smooth leather and decorated with the figures that characterize Haring’s art. Sometimes they are single characters such as a white angel with outstretched wings and, sometimes, an all-over print that covers the upper, embellished and enriched with colored plates.
The collection naturally suitable for both men and women, is completed by the black 1460 boot depicting the hybrid figure of a dog-bat for children. So if you are tired of the classic Dr. Martenz model and want to opt for something more colorful, in short, more street-art, you can buy them here on the brand’s official website at a price of 199 €. A perfect opportunity to prove that you are true connoisseurs of fashion and art!
