After presenting the AI 2021/2022 men’s collection, at the beginning of the month, Dolce&gabbana opens a new flagship store in Seoul!
The new impressive four-storey, 1,383-square-metre building is located in Cheongdam-dong, in the luxury district of Gangnam. The inauguration symbolizes a big step in the retail segment for the luxury label, determined to expand the tailoring made in Italy also on the eastern market.
The building bears the signature of the famous architect Jean Nouvel who took care of the entire design and interior design. A giant glass cylinder, set in four large black granite pillars, let the interior of the building shine through. A large spiral ramp covered in noir marble mosaic connects the four floors, creating continuity, movement and harmony.
Black is also the protagonist inside, the furniture, minimal and avant-garde, is formed by a modular structure to which are sharpened shelves and windows that host not only the ready-to-wear woman and man but also accessories, fine jewellery and watches. The construction culminates with a terrace with a view, surmounted by a circular canopy that completes the spiral of the building.
The boutique also offers a tailor-made service, offering the opportunity to every customer to enjoy the Italian hand of work and its excellence in the industry.
