VISVIM is a Japanese label founded by Hiroki Nakamura in 2001. The brand is based in Tokyo, and has stores in Japan and the United States but is also available internationally in department stores and boutiques, as well as online.
Since its foundation, it has been constantly searching for a universal sense of beauty and products with real and lasting value.
Each seasonal collection offers footwear, clothing and accessories inspired by genuine craftsmanship from around the world; a reinterpretation of skills inherited and handed down from generation to generation. The products of the brand require time and care to be made and are designed for people who develop an appreciation and sentimentality for a beauty that is enjoyed and valued over time.
VISVIM created several divisions, including the WMV line, dedicated to women’s clothing, and the F.I.L. Indigo Camping Trailer line, which deals with conceptual men’s clothing incorporating vintage hand-sewn fabrics with a unique charm and beauty.
The brand’s latest proposal is VISVIM SPORT, a new idea of utility wear suitable for both exercise and outdoor activities.
Design and functionality are reinterpreted using natural fabrics. The fibres have a high breathability and at the same time insulating properties. The brand is inspired by the tradition and materials that were adopted for sportswear use prior to the 1950’s, so before the emergence and spread of synthetic fabrics.
The garments proposed by the VISVIM SPORT line are made with fine raw wool from New Zealand. It is a rare material that is not only soft to the touch, but also very dense and robust, characterized by a fine texture and high elasticity. This fabric is highly breathable and quick-drying and one of its main features is that it can also be washed with water thanks to a special treatment.
Therefore, regardless from the line we refer to, the goal of VISVIM is always to offer comfort, quality and style.
