I fell in love with Corelate.
It was a few seasons when I heard about this brand, but my mind could not focus on any precise image, it wandered, empty, when I heard about it. Until, they didn’t call me to view this collection. And a passion was triggered.
Because Corelate is one of those Italian brands that are rarely found. Who have their roots in streetwear, but who have been able to grow, with grace, with mastery, impregnated with Made in Italy but with a taste, after all, totally international. The rare one that only a Brand can have.
You see the street roots, you feel them: in the cuts, in the attitude. But Corelate goes further. With its sophistication, from connoisseurs, which is perceived in the fabrics, in the details, in its ever-living inspiration.
Every garment is thought, indeed, imagined. In its simplicity, each piece is never trivial, it draws on the palette, this season, of pastel colors: pink, yellow, blue and is always enriched with a tailored detail. A drawstring, a band, a hood, a pocket of an unusual material that creates an accent on a product. The texture of a fabric. A personality, a soul, which emerges, always. Without ever shouting.
The beauty of this brand is that it is made to be savored. To get a little under-the-skin, a little at a time. Indeed, to cover our skin, a little at a time. With grace and with that vaguely alterative touch, that every true brand, made to be worn by those who know how to love it, by those who wear it a little to love themselves, know how to have.
And even if I don’t know how to pronounce it yet. Còrelate, Corelàte or Co-re-le-it. Or who knows. I already want to wear it.
And I feel that we must follow it, because he still has a long, beautiful story to tell us, yet to be written.
Corelate. One of the revelations of this year, 2019.
Wait Studios, with the help of the photographer-artist, Francesco Bertola, tells you so. Among clouds of colored smoke, light as sugar paper that caresses the garments of this spring-summer 2019 collection.
Like a breeze, which wants to be a good omen.
