The Camera60studio project was born from the idea of Matteo Bastiani and Chiara Rivituso with the idea of recreating iconic designers bags with waste materials. These can be: packs of cereals, coffee or biscuits but also shopping bags or shoe boxes. Thanks to the transformation of a Nike box into Dior’s Saddle Bag their project has exploded on social media and beyond.
The orange Nike “general release” box has been transformed into the structure of the iconic Dior bag. The rectangular box was then remodeled into the rounded shape of the Saddle and joined together with the seams. To complete the design of the bag there is a Nike “charm” on the flap closure, also of the same material as the box, and a fabric shoulder strap as a finishing touch.
This is not only the only project created by Camera60studio. Many other bags were made and all with different raw materials, but always recovered. The final result is excellent both from the point of view of final design but also in the message of sustainability which the whole project proves.
