Riccardo Tisci chooses the royalty of uniforms for the new collection inspired by outdoor adventures, that he has just presented in the Pre-Fall.
The protagonists are the khaki color and the camouflage, quilted fabrics with diagonal seams, parkas and cargo pants. Tisci called it a “new perspective on British codes”, which he obtained by blending tradition and innovation, such as that of sequined boots and the use of fluo colors for womenswear, up to floral prints or, again, tartan Burberry parkas, instead of the classic trench coats, which he revisited with a new check print.
“This is my uniform for the outdoors. My love for all the contrasting elements of nature has been explored and reflected in this collection, which combines the romance and beauty of nature with utility and practicality. I was inspired by the rich heritage of traditional British dress codes and I gave them a new perspective: moderating camouflage prints to blend harmoniously with natural surroundings, combining them with structured tailoring and romantic floral fabrics, broderie anglaise and references to the kingdom animal ”, tells the creative director.
