A year after his debut on the runway, Nicola Brognano returned to the catwalk with a chic and casual show, striking the right balance between small items inspired by sportswear and silhouette couture.
The twenty-seven-year-old designer, who launched Brognano, his brand of women’s prêt-à-porter in spring 2015, has built its promising origins with a collection for spring/summer 2019 created to attract the widest possible audience, offering a truly democratic version high fashion.
Embroidered dresses with yellow daisies and dresses paired with crop tops with knee-length pencil skirts with romantic floral prints in shades of wisteria, light blue and egg-yolk yellow, shared the catwalk with huge tulle skirts that wrapped the tops of evening dresses like cocoons. All this matched with more sporty pieces, such as T-shirts and tight cycling shorts, swimsuits with white zippers, tank tops and surf suits and nylon windbreakers.
Finally, the designer Nicola Brognano has completed the two contrasting styles, with tulle gloves giving a touch of chic and glamour to some looks, while tops, dresses and pants in yellow transparent plastic cross the drama of selected silhouettes couture.
