Demna Gvasalia the Georgian designer announce is exited from his co-found brand Vetements.
After 5 years of founding the innovative and provocative “design collective” Vetements, Demna Gvasalia needs to change and leaves the brand for “pursue new initiatives”.
In his official statement, the designer reports that he founded the collective because bored by fashion with the aim of innovating and renewing the scene. The goal was reached and against all odds the brand opened new doors for many and “.. has matured into a company that can evolve its creative heritage into a new chapter on its own”.
The Brand adds Guram Gvsalia (CEO of Vetements) “.. will continue to push the boundaries, and honest creativity and genuine talent and What Demna has accomplished over the past few years represents a key chapter in the story of Vetements and we are very grateful to Demna for having contributed to the great momentum of the house”.
