The S/S 21 collection by Bottega Veneta, presented almost secretly the last October in an ordinary London theater, has finally been unveiled.
Few guests, in a totally bare environment and a catwalk accompanied by a hypnotizing choreography of lights.
The concept of the fashion show, developed by the creative director Daniel Lee, is focused on a timeline that arrives in historical decades: the 60s, for a comfy silhouette and a house style, and the 90s, with basic patterns and essential colors.
Lee with this baggage of memories leads us towards an unknown future, but perhaps not so far away, which we could define as a “near future” and he receives us in an aseptic environment that nevertheless shines of a confident, radiant bright green, which is followed by a rainbow of colors.
The collection reveals itself as a mix-and-match, between the trends of past decades and the introduction of a future design. She shows us future key accessories and minimal dresses in pastel colors, revisited with soft and comfortable fabrics, such as denim and crafted fabrics as crochet.
Among the news signed by Bottega Veneta for the next Spring Summer collection we find the Triangle Bag, already presented in other versions in the Resort 21 collection and for the occasion designed in an acidulous and soft yellow and in a sugar paper color.
The absolute protagonist of this collection is also the zip, indisputably inserted in the center of the dress as in the 90s and the inevitable mules combined for a nostalgic reference of the 60s, in the pastel colors like pink, yellow and blue.
