After disappearing from social platforms, the brand Bottega Veneta makes a great return online.
By January 2021 the official accounts of the brand had been removed, attracting everyone’s attention. It was the CEO of Kering, the French luxury group of which Bottega Veneta is part, who clarified what happened. In fact, François-Henri Pinault has explained the transition from a direct social strategy to an indirect and organic one, in which the brand relies on its fanbase and ambassadors, providing them all the necessary material in order to diffuse it online. A particular strategy but in line with the positioning of the company until now.
On 22 February Bottega Veneta made its return online, but not through social networks. It has instead launched its first official app. It was released right before February 26, the day when the new creative director Matthieu Blazy, former right-hand of Daniel Lee who has recently left his role, will debut with his first collection for the brand during Milan Fashion Week.
The application is available on the Apple App Store and it is green, symbol color of the brand and, for the occasion of its release, even their website abandoned its old black shades. It is a platform developed for creatives and there will be daily publications of new contents until the day of the show, when the debut of Blazy will be broadcasted live, giving all fans the opportunity to feel involved.
