This week’s Supreme launch will include pieces featuring the works of Japanese artist Toshio Saeki.
Toshio Saeki, who died a year ago at the age of 74, is known as the “Godfather of Japanese eroticism“; his illustrations are defined as brilliant, irreverent, grotesque and bordering on obscene. He is the author of an original style who revolutionized Japanese art, reinterpreting traditional Japanese motifs and mixing them with his own obsessions, echoing the anxieties of contemporary society, among unspeakable perversions and taboos.
So Supreme has decided to pay homage to him by presenting an entire capsule collection characterized by patchwork prints, depicting his works. The collection, features a cotton blend work jacket with quilted taffeta lining, matching work pants in black and dark blue, and a selection of hoodies.
The release will take place online on November 5 at 12:00 together with the items of the eleventh Fall/Winter 2020 drop.
