” All types of love ”, Reebok‘s Pride collection and campaign, aims to be a love letter from the brand to all LGBTQ + communities.
Each of us has a different story and journey to tell and this is exactly what we try to express through this collection. It is a way to give voice to those who are not listened to, a way to promote inclusion even in the world of fashion. This collaboration was designed by the community of LGBTQ employees, Reebok and Colorful Soles who together with House of Ninja sought and then found a way to communicate through the iconic dance lenses and their story.
Among the prominent figures we find Archie Burnett, icon of voguing, and also founder of the legendary House of Ninja mentioned above. It is a real community that today has more than 200 members around the world, known for its bold style, for the impact and joy that comes from contact with people who are completely different from each other.
” An open mind to new things can lead to exploring things more deeply and this greater understanding can develop empathy. Through empathy, change can be achieved. This is the process to follow. “
These are the words of Archie Burnett, and this is the path followed by the Reebok brand for the Pride 2021 campaign. With this in mind, the brand has given space to activists and influencers of the LGBTQ + community by calling them to be part of the “Proud Notes” campaign ordinary people, who really fight every day for equality. From June model and spokesperson for transsexuals, to Nali performer, artist and dance teacher, everyone is committed to sending a precise message. And Reebok is committed even more by donating 75 thousand dollars to the It Gets Better project, a global action LGBTQ + program aimed at inspiring, encouraging and connecting LGBTQ + youth around the world.
The collection, which was launched on May 15, is therefore a real love letter made of clothes and shoes. From small details on t-shirts, socks, hats to different models of footwear that respect the recognizable style of the brand. Everything is colored with rainbow!
