After the announcement and the release of the collaboration Adidas x Pharrell Williams, let’s have a closer look to the flagship product of che collection: the 0-60 STMT.
Based on the Crazy BYW 2.0, the sneaker 0 to 60 STMT (acronym that may be referred to “Statement”), has a versatile design inspired by basketball.
The fusion of the pastel tones, is just on trend for the spring summer 2020, and we find it allover the upper: a mix of summer colors like yellow, blue and green, that meet themselves creating intense shades characterized by the tie-dye color technique.
The iconic three stripes Adidas, that envelop the mid foot, are presented in emerald green, enhanced by the orange embroidery, and are interrupted by an asymmetrical zipper which guarantees the proper shoe closure. This is joined by a collar strap that block the tongue and wrap the ankle. Right on the strap, a detail that won’t pass unnoticed: the acronym Hu. For those who were wondering, Pharrell answers: “Hu is short for human – human being, human race, human kind”.
Another recall to the Crazy BYW 2.0 is the material’s overlapping: the yellow and grey suede over the forefoot, midfoot and heel is in contraposition to the stretch fabric of the upper. Also the midsole refers to the reference model, completed with the BOOST cushioning in nude color and hints of grey and blue, while the sole is realized with shaped rubber.
The sneaker is a vivid color block scheme due to the mix ocean blue/emerald green on the upper, combined by pastel shades on details, shoe laces and sole, that are enhanced by more defined colors as the orange embroidery and the electric blue details.
Pharrell has showed once again his boldness and extravagance by creating a playful but strong sneaker, that perfectly matches with the proposed apparel selection.
Already sold-out on the official Adidas website, you can find it online on StockX.
